Ladies show out for Hennessy V
Last Saturday, the Kingston Craft Village in downtown Kingston came to life with the tenth staging of Hennessy V under the theme, Onyx (like the gemstone).
The entrance was well lit, with ease of entrance on to the catwalk.
The event was lively from the gateway, where persons lined up awaiting their turn to make an award entrance and to pose for the cameras.
By consistently bringing style and glamour together, the event has attracted a wide female patronage and the attention of fashion-savvy males.
Even the few who did not stick with the all-black dress code ensured their style was up to par with the event's image.
From high-cut bodysuits matched with see-through skirts to dresses that barely allowed any movement, the ladies showed up and showed out for Hennessy V.
All VIP areas were filled before midnight, with Hennessy Black and Moet & Chandon being the main bottle choices for patrons.
The classy gem-studded lounge chairs, part of the decor for the guests, remained empty for the night as the vibe stayed at a high, so the guests kept dancing.
"We are overwhelmed with the support received for the tenth staging and, more important, grateful for another incident-free experience," said Luigi Brown, one of the event promoters.
The diamond in the rough venue, with the ability to change its face into a party playground, has proven to be one of the best locations for Hennessy V, being a safe and easy environment to monitor.
DJs Witty Blacks and Bishop Escobar changed the vibes from a simple rockers event to downtown street dance with a quick flip of the switch from hip hop and souls to dancehall music with Ding Dong's Lebeh Lebeh and Aidonia's Yeah Yeah.
