Gospel singer Omari says that lately he's been focusing on more than just music, including family and the Word.

"The Lord is kinda leading me in a lot of different directions musically where it's almost like I'm in a new season, creatively, too," the gospel singer told THE WEEKEND STAR. "When the Lord is developing something new inside of you, it takes a little time to develop and for you to really understand what God is doing and saying to you. So, musically, the Lord has been taking me on a journey that takes time to really develop and get into it, so I've been very patient with the process."

Based in the United States, the Jehovah Guide Me hitmaker said the space, along with this new journey, is stretching him outside his musical comfort zone.

"I have a lot of new music coming," he said. "It may sound a little bit different from what people are accustomed to from Omari but, nevertheless, it's still amazing work and great quality. Everybody has to evolve. It's not a walking away from something. It's an expansion and growth, is one of the evidence that you're alive .... If you're asking God for growth, it's going to come from the unfamiliar, and the unfamiliar is what produces growth."

On that note, the artiste has been growing in his ministry by using his social media platforms to preach God's word, exchange testimonies and offer encouragement to followers.

"Being in a bigger place, it's almost like you see the world from where I'm at," he said. "It forces you to think differently and operate differently. So it's a whole different scope. So the focus is way bigger than where I was at the time. I'm preaching a lot. There's a lot of creativity that comes from where I am and it forces you to think outside the box and not confine yourself to what you know but also what you need to know in order to become everything that God has called you to be."
