Towards the end of the music video for his latest single, My Mommy, Coolface rides up to a Pizza Hut outlet, where he's a bearer.

The job, as well as his other ventures as a photographer, videographer and car rental chief, allowed him to buy a home for his mother for more than $12 million. The singjay captures his mother's reaction to the purchase in the visuals released last Sunday.

"Mi very proud of myself fi know seh mi a come from out of the ghetto and mi can do all of this; and mi nah fi rob nobody, scam, and all of that. Mi just do regular nine-to-five and save," Coolface told THE STAR. "Every day people congratulate me."

The Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine native first shared the achievement on social media in December, which he said attracted scepticism that he was able to buy the home legitimately. But the 29-year-old said he was also able to achieve the goal through monetary compensation won from a civil lawsuit two years ago.

"Mi did meet in an accident, and mi win the case 'cause mi did get a bruk hand. So that give me a major start so mi can buy a car and do mi rental and all of that; so that was a good jump for me," he said.

Coolface got the inspiration to pen a song surrounding the milestone and teamed up with Twell Dem Records to produce it. He wanted to keep the visuals as close as possible to his life story, so his mother stars in the project. Fans get to see the early days of struggle and Coolface's determination to make a better way for his mother.

"People a seh this is a hit song," he said. "It's a real-life story and dem love it. Even last night, mi deh on the road and mi hear the song a play, mi don't even know who a play it. But mi feel joyful fi hear the song, so mi a get some great feedback."

Given name Roshaine Reid, Coolface started his music career in 2011, but only started taking it seriously in 2021 after getting encouragement from people who gravitated to his releases Don't Lef Mi and Happy Life. He intends to do music full-time eventually, when things "kick off the rightful way", but will maintain his other hats.
