Take the Jesus vaccine urges Brotha George
There's been a lot of division surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine, but for gospel singer Brotha George, the 'Jesus vaccine' is the way to go. The artiste encourages his stance in his new single, No Side Effect, where he declares that there is no need for a second dose or booster for the proposed vaccine.
"The Almighty God vaccination - which is the word of God - has no side effects," Brotha George told THE STAR.
"Noah took the vaccine and obeyed God when the Almighty was speaking to him about the flood. David take it when he was instructed about Goliath... You have Peter, Paul, James, Moses and everyone of these great men took the vaccine which was the instructions and word of God and it has no side effects at all."
No Side Effect, Brotha George's first release for the year, was co-produced by Sydney Mills and Cedrica 'Soljie' Hamilton. He is pleased with its feedback.
"It's been tremendous because I've been singing the songs and the response that I get is like four, five times it have to pull up live on stage," he said. "It was surprising the way how people react to the song; it's a blessing. It's also been on a lot of radio stations and each time it plays, it haffi pull up."
He will be shooting the music video next week and believes the song "will go global". As for his thoughts on the COVID-19 vaccine, he said, "God has given man wisdom, knowledge and understanding to do what is right so to each his own."
The US-based act is excited about the possibility of touring this year with the restrictions accompanying the pandemic being lifted in various countries. He said he enjoys spreading the word of God which he believes is needed more than ever.
"I remember growing up, it used to be way different. It's changed now with these destructive weapons so I'm pleading to these young men and folks all over the globe to give a helping hand instead of cutting it off. Let's show love instead of building strife. Let's have love in our hearts instead of hate because we're nothing but dust passing through this wonderful world God has given to us."
He is looking to release his 11th studio album in the summer, which will follow his 2020 album, Unstoppable.
He also recently released a collaboration with African singer Christine N called Dem A Wonder.
