Double murder in St James
The shooting death of two men in Anchovy, St James, on Monday night, has now brought to five the number of persons killed in the parish over the past six days.
Investigators say one of the double murder victims still remains unidentified, while the other has been identified as 37-year-old Christopher Hamilton, a taxi operator of John's Hall community, also in St James.
Reports by the police are that about 9:30 p.m., Hamilton and the unidentified male travelled in a white Toyota fielder motor car to a section of the Lethe and Anchovy main road intersection, where they stopped at a shop.
Both went inside the establishment and purchased food items. On their way back, they were ambushed by armed men, who opened fire hitting them multiple times to their upper bodies.
