Pervert allegedly ‘rapes’ disabled man
The St James Police are now searching for a man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a man with Down's Syndrome, in the Johns Hall community in the parish last week.
Residents in the community have since joined in the search for the man.
"Mi sey wi well want ketch the boy, till wi short," one community member told THE STAR yesterday.
"Dem kinda man yah bad fi wi community, and wi nu want him round here ... a bring dung shame pon the community," another angry community member stated.
The police confirmed the they are aware of the incident, and that they have since launched a search for the man.
Reports are that the 26-year-old victim resides alone. Sometime last week he was asleep in his house, when the man allegedly broke into the dwelling and climbed on his back and started to have sex with him.
The victim shouted for help, and the man ran from the house. Residents called the police, who visited the scene and carried out the relevant investigations.
