I can’t find my son - Dad searches for 10-month-old boy who disappeared after mom’s death
Leonard Haughton, otherwise called 'Fargo', a popular market vendor from Salt Spring in St James, says he has been unable to eat, drink, or even sleep at nights since the death of his girlfriend and the disappearance of his 10-month-old son in June.
Fargo said that his babymother, Kayon Lewis, otherwise called 'Yoka', died under questionable circumstances. Some persons theorised that obeah played a part in her demise. Fargo said that after learning of her death, he went to her home in the neighbouring community of Flower Hill, and it was then that he discovered that his son, Hayden Haughton, was missing from the yard.
The broken-hearted Fargo said that some of Lewis's relatives accused him of working obeah on her, leading to her death.
Broke down in tears
"I don't have a clue wah dem a talk bout. How mi fi obeah mi own pickney dem mother?" Haughton said as he broke down in tears. "Mi respect di ground that deh woman deh walk pon. A she give mi two youths."
Fargo said that his son and his four-year-old daughter, Lenesha, lived with Lewis, who was reportedly picking naseberries when she fell after she was allegedly struck by a ghost.
He said that he has seen his daughter but has been unable to lay eyes on his son.
Fargo said that he made a report to the police, but he feels that they have not been giving him full support to help him reunite with his son. He is now appealing for help to find the boy, stating that his life is meaningless without him.
