Karume Huie, head coach of Browns Town FC, described the feeling of finally advancing to the Magnum/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League final as "a relief".

After a fourth consecutive semi-final appearance in the Corporate Area top league, Browns Town got the proverbial 'monkey off the back' when they defeated pre-season favourites, Molynes United 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out at Constant Spring Complex on Friday night.

Browns Town took a 2-0 lead when Tevin Scott and Bryan English scored in the fourth and 22nd minutes. However, Molynes fought back courtesy of strikes by Patrick Schecklude (28th) and Kemar Seivwright (45th).

It was 2-2 at the end of regulation and extra-time.

'"It is a sense of relief, joy, and excitement because we have been at the semi-final for the last four seasons and now we are in the final. It was about perseverance and self belief," Huie told STAR Sports yesterday.

"We took our foot off the pedal and Molynes came back. At the half time break I made some adjustments to the team in a 3-5-2 system and we held on to win in the penalty kicks," he added.

Huie is now looking forward to the final against former Super League champions Barbican, who had defeated Rockfort 2-0 in the first semi-final.

"I know that Barbican is an experienced team, who won the league and also played in the Premier League. We will have to go to the training sessions and prepare for the final on Friday night," he said.

The winner of the Magnum/KSAFA Super League will join South Central Confederation winner - Dunbeholden; Eastern Confederation champion - Mount Pleasant and Western Confederation winner - Wadadah in the upcoming Red Stripe Premier League promotion play-off.
