After nearly a decade on the run, a St Catherine man who allegedly sprayed a house with bullets in Twickenham Park in 2016 has been hauled before the courts following his deportation from the Bahamas.

Thirty-one-year-old Akeem Jackson, otherwise known as 'Bobo Sparks,' was arrested on Friday, February 20, 2026, shortly after he was sent back to Jamaica.

Police say Jackson fled the island years ago while under investigation for a pre-dawn gun attack carried out on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

Reports indicate that about 3:20 a.m., Jackson and several armed accomplices went to a woman's home in Twickenham Park. Investigators allege that Jackson opened fire on the house during the incident. Fortunately, the occupants managed to escape unharme.

The matter was reported, and detectives launched a probe. During investigations, it was revealed that Jackson had left the country.

His luck reportedly ran out last week when he was deported from the Bahamas and apprehended during an intelligence-led operation upon his return to the island.

Following a question-and-answer session, Jackson was formally charged with two counts of Shooting with Intent, Malicious Destruction of Property, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Possession of Ammunition, and Using a Firearm to Commit an Offence.

He is scheduled to appear before the Spanish Town Circuit Court on Friday, February 27.
