Westmoreland child killed in electrocution accident

A wave of grief has swept through the quiet Nile district in Westmoreland after a three-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic electrocution at his home on Sunday morning.

The child has been identified as Tamani Flemmings.

Reports indicate that about 9:00 a.m., Tamani became entangled in electrical wires lying on the ground in his yard. He was rushed to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The Savanna-la-Mar Criminal Investigation Branch has since launched a probe into the incident.
